Hi all,
It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Greater Palouse Meat Producers. Thanks to the generous support from members of our community, we've made amazing progress with our fundraising and are getting ready to send in our application to the USDA for a Rural Business Enterprise Grant. In just a few weeks, we've raised a total of $5,000.00. If all goes as planned, we hope to have $20,000.00 to do a feasibility study for the establishment of a USDA-inspected meat processing plant in the our area.
But there is still one more thing to be done. We need letters of support from local producers. If you are a local producer, please let the USDA that you support us by sending a letter. We've attached a letter format that you can use. It doesn't have to be wordy. A basic message of support is all that we need. But we need it soon....by the evening of Tuesday, March 18th. You can get it to us in time if you fax it (208-746-0576) or scan it ([email protected])
We've almost got everything we need for this grant. All we need now is the letters of support.
